A superb Original and rust free example of a full spec Rover SD1 rally car built in the 80′s in conjunction with Austin Rover Motorsport . The car ran with a private plate on during its rally career and has recently just been transfered. The “REZ” plate goes with the vehicle.
Shell built/prepared from a blank motorsport shell by Gartrac to gravel/long distance rally spec , with all usual features – weld in triangulated roll cage , turrets , 5 linked , big tunnels inc exhaust tunnel coming out of rear panel/boot floor . Flaired wheel arches to accommodate wide wheels , seamwelded , sill skids , full length sumpguard etc. With full supporting factory parts from Austin Rover Motorsport , Gartrac Fully floating 4HA Salisbury axle , Rover close ratio box , and rally spec engine running on Twin carbs (also potentially comes with another engine running on 4 carbs) AP 4 pot brakes alround with vented discs with Alloy hubs and disc bells to suit , seperate AP handbrake calipers which inc cables , dash adj bias pedal box and hyd hand brake , Gartrac Bilstein coil over front and rear suspension , Alloy rose jointed top mounts , heavy duty X member, Gartrac Alloy fuel tank and twin fuel pumps , power steering , large hot climate radiator , bespoke Austin Rover Motorsport competition wiring loom , with centre switch panel , Original magnesium speedline wheels , Recaro bucket seats and Full harness belts , Terratrip , Bilstein jack etc etc.
This car is in superb original condition , having been parked up in dry storage for most of its life, there is no sign of rust what so ever , and no sign of stone damage to the floor at all !
